A message from Juli Balestrieri...
Welcome to the Belmont Rotary Club website. Thank you for your interest in our organization. The Belmont Rotary Club is a dedicated group of local business men and women who are committed to improving the local and international community through a variety of community service projects. Over the years, the Belmont Rotary Club has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to needy graduating high school students so that they may attend college. This past year, the Belmont Rotary Club provided dictionaries for all third grade students in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District and also awarded teacher mini-grants for ongoing projects in the school district. The Belmont Rotary Club also supports Heart n Hand, a community outreach food program developed and run by a Belmont Rotarian. On an international level, our club has collected and sent several shipments of medical supplies to South America, has partnered with other Rotary clubs on a project in Quilmes Oeste, Argentina, and is currently supporting a school for the deaf in Maldonado, Uruguay.
Rotary is the world’s oldest and largest service organization with over 1,200,000 members in 33,000 clubs around the world. Our service projects are completed without any religious or political agenda.
The Belmont Rotary Club welcomes you to be our guest at one of our weekly luncheons. Our club of fifty members meets at 12:15 PM at The Van’s restaurant in Belmont (591-6525) every Monday for 1.5 hours of fellowship and a short program on various topics from speakers from all walks of life. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via email or by phone at (650)594-2424. Come see how one person CAN change the world!
